The Cobbler’s Children Have No Shoes… and the Marketer’s Brand is Barefoot

You know that old saying about the cobbler’s kids running around barefoot because they’re too busy making shoes for everyone else? I sometimes feel like that’s me.

While I dedicate my time and expertise to crafting compelling marketing strategies for my clients, my own brand’s marketing sometimes takes a backseat… let’s just say my website’s been “under construction” longer than some major highway projects.

In the midst of this, I’m thrilled to share an initiative that aligns with my passion for empowering women entrepreneurs: the BFF Brand Academy. This program is designed to guide women in building a brand system with a strong foundation built on target audience research, differentiation in the market, and messaging that speaks to the needs and desires of the target audience.

I named the course the BFF Brand Academy because I believe (and studies show) that women have innate interpersonal relationship skills that are useful in marketing and branding. Marketing and branding are all about building relationships after all! It’s my goal to help women make the connection between their relationship building superpowers and building their brands.

In the 7-week course we cover:

  • What a brand guide is
  • Branding fundamentals
  • Logos
  • Brand colors
  • Mastering brand imagery
  • Messaging: taking your customer from hello to BFF
  • And brand experiences that influence customer relationships

The course is meant to be a step-by-step brand building experience: Upon completion, students will have brand assets and a clear plan for how to use them.

The BFF Brand Academy is a passion project for me. I am so excited to help women entrepreneurs find more ease in their marketing efforts – but also to have more success in their businesses through strategic brand communications.

With my 20+ years in marketing, I know that helping women create effective marketing is a way that I can help women thrive, and that to me is priceless.
